We love this place as family spot. There are picnic tables, a play ground, nets for vollyball/badminton. Maybe even horse shoes but unsure about that. There are changing shed & Porta potties. The stairs are kinda steep, but there are trails that lead down which add a bit to the walk down but easier on the joints if you need that. The scenery is lovely and it's quiet even with families & teens playing. The pond is lovely for kayaking, paddle boards & canoeing. The loons are here and we love to hear & see them. It is our town lake & we L❤️VE it.

I would give this place zero stars if that was an option. Our family friend had called ahead to make plans for their daughters 11th birthday to make sure the amount of visitors coming for said event would be allowed and they were told that was a-okay and they went ahead and made reservations. When we arrived at the campground (after calling ahead to make sure our dogs were allowed which we were told they were) we were told we could only have a day pass and not stay the night because that was "too many vistitors" even though that was never stated when original call was made to check. The family friend who was renting the site went down to talk to Linda and she stated "your wife and that boy are liars" the boy being my boyfriend who tried to check in after we thought we had dotted all our i's and crossed all our t's. Their websites rules were completely different from what Linda was telling us and I 1000% would not recommend anyone waste their time or money on this place. 0/10 for us. I usually don't make a point to write reviews ever but I just found the whole process ridiculous. If you want to have rules and regulations great but make them universal with your website and staff instead of saying one thing on the website then it being another story once people arrive.

If you dont mind walking down stairs and then trekking through some mud, this place is great. Picnic tables, little charcoal grills, and they have a separate beach to rent for parties and such, which helps keep the main beach clear too. Great for families. Shallow water for about 20 feet so it's nice and warm. I almost gave it a bad rating so nobody would go there. Lol. Jk

This lake is not handicap or senior citizen assesible. You have to park up above and all they have are like beam steps and dirt surrounding it. You will kill yourself trying to go down the hill. Then you have to walk across a field to access the lake. We had to leave because we are seniors and couldn’t possibly go down the hill never get back up! Awful. The Town of Lyman should be ashamed!
