    Canoed to Poland Pond from the end of the only road to Caucomgomoc at age 14 with MY dad in 1957. "Horrified" to see all the roads on Google maps today. I too will remember the pristine area. Kinda figured out how to fly fish just because we brought an old rod and some flies. Fresh trout over an open fire in an iron skillet beat the canned food I brought.
