I wasn't expecting to see such a beautiful sight. Was driving through the mountains and needed a break. I had looked at Elephant Butte on Google maps prior to starting my trip. Can't wait to bring the kids. Hidden gem.

We visited t or c for 2 nights and went suping 3 times. There was space for us to park within 50ft of the water, next to 10 rvs. Great beach to swim and launch. Still a gigantic lake for a paddle boarder. Friendly people doing different types of activities.

Haven't been here since I was a kid, but I really had a great time with my family for independence weekend!! Had a private camping area when others were stacked up.

A great location for camping or spending a day. The lake is very accessible. 4x4 recommended in the sandy areas.

We went to the wrong side on accident , But once we made it to the beach, It was very beautiful and the water was clean. It was extremely cold water though so we couldn’t swim for very long when we went. We went in April, so I can’t say if the water gets warmer during summer or not.
