It was clean and the naturalist was very nice. We enjoyed the short paved trail. We came in June so there weren't any migratory birds but got to see a few common ones and pretty flowers. We ate a picnic lunch at the tables.

Magnificent. We need more sanctuaries for wildlife such as this.

Went Feb 2023 as a field trip while enrolled in Ivy Tech. When I went, it was very cold and very windy. But that was during September. The grounds are amazing. You don't even have to get out of your car to see some amazing wildlife. If you want to go walking around, make sure to visit the visitors center to get a permit. The permit allows you to walk pretty much anywhere on the grounds I believe. I was a part of a group on the field trip and we had a tour guide. She was very nice and helpful, didn't catch her name, she probably said it a million times. The visitors center was amazing. There are some small exhibits about some of the wildlife that can be viewed around the grounds. Almost the entire visitors center is made of glass windows, so you can see nearly 360° around the building. The viewing window is fantastic, and there is a scope right outside if you want a closer look at some wildlife. The grounds were amazing. Snall ponds everywhere you look. When I went in September, the ponds were filled with water, but it was mentioned that there is a leevee system to control the water levels. Its a fantastoc place to see all kinds of migrating birds and some year round residents as well. Attached videos are not from the actual property, but about 5-10 miles down the road.

My husband and I enjoyed our stroll along the visitor center trail in October of 2023. This is such a nice, paved trail.

We had the best tour guide ever…. Joe. Joe is one of the naturalists that works there, so knowledgeable about the whole area. I literally could spend days there, so much ground to cover and so many possibilities to see wildlife. Bird photographers be prepared with your largest lens. This picture was taken with a 700 mm. Goose Pond is so vast you need a big honkin lens and binoculars. We did see whooping cranes, Sandhills, Blue Herons, beaver, deer and ducks ducks ducks. So fun.
