Nice lake when it's clean good for playing around on tubes and stuff like that not the best fishing in the area by far but it's a decent place to swim and boat during the summer it's pretty hard to fish anywhere in the day light but it's good for boating and jet skes there are some good fishing spots don't expect anyone to tell you where they are though the depth of the lake varies depending on how close to the dam you are

Visited the lake for the first time today with my family. We loved the lake and will most definitely be back! There were some boats that had young drivers, and they were a little wreckless at times, so you have to be very aware all of the time (as you should be anyway 😊). Other than that, it's our favorite so far. And we loved the fact we could dock our pontoon at the Marina and sit on the dock to eat at the restaurant. Me, my husband and our 3 kids had a blast today. And to add, there's a lot of debris (logs, long sticks, and even some branches) laying/sticking up out of the water, so be very careful of that!

Headwaters can be ugly sometimes. However, I have to Love it. I live 20 feet from it. 🌝🎣🚤🌞

2019. Oldest large man made lake in KY. 1925 hydro electric. Privately owned. Narrow long steep cliffs limestone. Very pretty. Lots of trash and trees afloat. Some nice marinas. Few good boat ramps. New bridge at Kennedy. Good fishing. Water has runoff from Danville, Lancaster and coal ash waste. Nice lake. Nice Dix River head waters.
