I went there to see a pond but instead I saw a Big Lake. I am wondering why it is called a Pond. Nice place a weekend outing. Facilities are good for families to spend the day merrily.

We were only through a little bit of Massachusetts once, but I don't think John's pond. But it was historic & blessed to be in a little area of Massachusetts

Great fishing here, lots of different types of structure including trees, rocks and sand shorelines, beds everywhere the prespond is here and the smallie's are very aggressive. This is a great pond to relax and just find yourself in true nature.

Why worry about the crowds at the big beaches? This was a great alternative - nice water, plenty of room. If you are looking to use the playground, it had campers for part of the afternoon, but othwise was well maintained.

Went here July 29, 2018, and it was closed to the public. You must have a town sticker to enjoy this pond/beach. When you search on google and or cape cod online, it states $15.00 a day for a non-resident. However, I was informed that they stopped that last year. I understand that they may have had too many people from out of town coming down in the summer and taking it over. But be kind and update your site. I wasted time driving to it and disappointing my kids. Grews pond was where we went and had a blast. Plus that pond is FREE!
