- ★★★★★over 2 years agoThis is a good hike that requires a lot of effort to reach the lake. It is about a 3000 foot elevation gain. Be prepared to climb hard, but enjoy the best shadows created by the canopy of Aspen and furs. The lake itself is wonderful. The surrounding peaks highlight the majestic area and the beauty that it holds. I height to the lake in late July and they were very little mosquitoes which made the hike even more enjoyable.
- ★★★★★about 2 years agoThis is a relatively rugged hike that climbs roughly 3000 feet over 3.5 miles. The rocky start is a little intimidating but soon gives way to dirt trail routinely punctuated by rocky scrambles. It takes around 2.5 hours to make it to the lake at a casual pace, and the views at the top are stunning.
- ★★★★★over 3 years agoBeautiful hike. Took me about 6 hours, 4 hours uphill and 2 hours downhill. I recommend bringing lots of water with you. This was quite a difficult hike for me from how long it was and going up to the lake was all uphill. I dont recommend bringing any little kids on this hike because it's not easy. It's worth it if you're athletic and love a beautiful view.
- ★★★★★over 3 years agoHighly recommend this beautiful trail, running water the whole trail. You'll get to see a beautiful waterfall and end with a beautiful lake. Water trickling down rocks. Moderately steep, hiking boots would be recommend. If you have knee problems I would not suggest.
- ★★★★★over 5 years agoOne of the best hikes I ever did. It took 2 hrs for one way and 1hr for the return. quite hard trail. must carry water, and snacks too. if you are planning to hike in the evenings during summer, better start atleast by 3 or 4. you'll get ample time to spend at the lake. it's such a beautiful place.
