Such a fun place to tube, waterski, boat, swim, and hangout. There’s a few marinas where you can park your boat and grab food + walk around. Totally recommend Lake Burton for a weekend getaway or summer destination.

A nice peaceful lake for boat rides or fishing or just sightseeing. During the winter months the level is lowered so there may be less lake than you would expect at times.

Everyone should stay away and let me have this Lake to myself. The water is perfect, the mountains are green and beautiful, and the sunsets are spectacular! I can do without the boats that make the maximum wake so you can “surf” three feet behind the boat. If you want to surf, go to the ocean or back down to Lake Lanier or Hartwell with the rest of your cousins. Other than that, this is one of my favorite spots on planet Earth.
