One of my favorite places in northwestern Connecticut to kayak! The parking is easy and so is unloading a kayak. No large boats are allowed and it is usually very quiet. In July there are TONS of wild blueberries.... bring a container! Highly recommend this lake.

Great place to paddle! The water is very clear and since the lake is in a rural area, its very quiet. I like that because it allows you to take in nature without distractions. This lake has a lot of dead trees sticking out of the water which makes it interesting to paddle though and since the water is fairly clear, if you look in while you are in the field of stumps, you can see the roots snaking around and it gives a really eerie feeling that there is a giant octopus down there frozen in time. There are only a few houses around this lake so its 95% nature which is a good thing. I would definitely go back here. There is a boat launch, nice sized parking lot and a port-a-potty as of the time of writing.
