- ★★★★★about 1 year agoMirror Lake is an hour and a half drive out from Salt Lake City Downtown that will be worth your time for a day of picnic with your loved ones. Great spot if looking for a break from routine and plenty of opportunities for great pictures. The vibe at the lake is serene and calm , and I found it to be quite rejuvenating! We spent a good couple of hours strolling by the lake. There is a small parking lot available right at the lake, and if full, has another one down the road.
- ★★★★★over 1 year agoBeautiful location! Came in on Sunday and it was crowded when I arrived at 11 am but found parking easy enough - I might have lucked out. Lots of families, fishing and pet friendly - but I think too many folks don’t pick up after their dogs so that was disappointing. Campgrounds have easy access to the lake which was nice. Remember the elevation makes it easily 30 degrees cooler/colder than below - I drove up from Ogden - especially at night. Some overcast, which made it chilly and easy to forget sunscreen so b sure to cover up or apply! Camp host did a great job of cleaning up after campers so the camp sites were spotless. Easy walk around the lake if u r interested. Be prepared for anything weather wise - we got afternoon hail and early morning (1 am - 8 am) rain.
- ★★★★★over 1 year agoMirror Lake was absolutely beautiful. We went for a day fishing trip in August and it was worth waking up at 4AM. It was cool temperatures and we were glad we brought warm clothes. We got there at about 7AM and as soon as the fishing poles hit the water, we were catching fish.
- ★★★★★over 1 year agoBeautiful views. 30* cooler than in the valley! Dog friendly. Easy loop around the lake- more of a nature stroll than a hike. The drive through the mountains is stunning- just make sure you download any maps you need as there is zero cell service! Only downside is that it is crowded!
- ★★★★★over 2 years agoLove #MirrorLake in the beautiful High #UintaMountains of Utah. I come up at least once a year. Sometimes I Camp, sometimes just to visit and hike. I love camping with the dark skies to see the stars. The Camp sites are wonderful and diverse, some overlook the lake, some overlook the tree filled valleys. All sites grant easy access to the lake and have close by water and toilets. The cooler temperatures during the summer is a fantastic escape from the city. I enjoy coming late summer as the bugs aren’t a problem. The nights start to get cold and the morning can be crisp but it’s a great time of year to come. Visiting on weekdays is great as the crowds are not there. The lake is spectacular with Beautiful reflections of #BaldMountain and surrounding nature. It really is like a Mirror. The walk around the lake is an easy 1.5 miles which is great for older family and friends, and young kids can find plenty to see and do on the easy hike. Great fishing, wonderful boating. A beautiful jewel in the Uinta Mountains.
