This lake has super clear water and its stocked with trout yearly. Beautiful scenery. The fish cleaning station was closed so I had to use a local stream to clean my fish but it was still an amazing experience. They should leave at least one fish cleaning station open all year long for the winter trout fishermen. I kept the guts and head for catfish bait and it works good. There was a lot of corn in the stomach of the fish. Dont know if they are fed that or they are just stealing it off of fisherman's hooks.

Strong sulphur smell. (I think many of the reviews left here are meant to be for Lake McConaughy, which is right next door.) This is a nice small lake, quiet, beautiful, cool view of the water being released from the dam. If you don't mind the smell, it's awesome.

The Sulphur smell made it difficult to camp here. Sometimes it was so strong that you could taste it. Lake Mac doesn't have the smell, but lake ogalla was rough

Great place to fish. It's nice and peaceful. Supposedly it has a lot of big trout but I didn't catch any. I did see a bunch of small trout jumping at bugs during sunset but that was about it. I'll come back and try some other spots and hopefully have more luck. Place is big so maybe I wasn't in the right spot.
